In developing country like our India, if we want all round development of our country it is immensely required to touch all developmental angles of agriculture and horticulture field in our country. To achieve this motive of Horticulture development, Horticulture education should be focused on rural pockets and areas and also by use of advanced and recent technology of Horticulture.

With this thought in mind regarding rural agricultural education and subsequent rural development with recent agriculture techniques, Honorable Dr. Patangraoji Kadam Saheb laid foundation stone of Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Horticulture, Kadegaon, Dist-Sangli, which is located complete rural rain fed area.
